Anyone got some Tubed Offset rims modulars or orrible 8 spokes they wanna trade/swap/beer money I could do with a couple of offset ones for the front of the 90 get as much steering lock as possible.

You sure thats mud??

In Cambridge its always hard to tell... Nearly went right in the back of someone the other day who didnt have working brake lights. They braked very sharply with no warning and with nothing in front of them.. Must have stopped only a few centimetres away from their towball. Shopping crates skidding and screeching around the floor in the back followed by a big thump as they hit the cab divider!!!:eek:

If you fit your wheels when you pick them up, you can test the new hi lift and then test the tyres on the way home.

Maybe :D:D Shameful I don't actually have a wheel brace yet though

Like it Sible

Jack I've got a spare wheel brace you can have, it's only a little one but it'll get you out of a hole.

Sorry Jai, no wheels

OK I am looking at taking the Steering box out of the disco... everything I am reading says that the drop arm is a pig to remove and a big set of pullers will be required. Anyone done this?

I used a HGV balljoint splitter! (borrowed from a friendly bus mechanic) I also had to borrow a socket for the splitter, as it was a size I didn't have, cos it was Huuuuuge..:D

Sorry diesel I'm feeling really really **** and somehow ive got to work till 10 tonight. Gonna try and pick up wheels on Sunday depends how dead i feel

BTW guys.. anyone want one of these? I'm thinking of getting 20 or 25 and giving a few round for a couple of quid each to cover costs. Jai you might like them for your greenlaning box? If you are interested in one or a few please let me know so I can work out roughly how many to ask for..

I have some HUNDREDS of 15 foot lengths of polypropylene three strand ropes that measure about 90mm around using a tape.

I carry several in the Disco, usually two 15 footers and one double-length job.

I splice small eyes on both ends, and use a D-Shackle on the victim end, just dropping the eye over my tow-ball.

I will part with these ropes for £1 each plus post.

If anyone wants to organise something, I could send a huge box down full of them.

I'll be intrested in a couple if Poss replace my rope which is now falling to bits

Anyone going out this weekend?
Sorry Diesel - I'm off to Crufts this weekend. I'm also having brake problems. I've got a hub oil seal leak and I need to pess the pedal twice before I get decent brakes. Hopefully its just the adjusters but I need to get it sorted before I go out again.

Just say the mub adds character. Yeah, it's got a detergent pickup (haven't got any yet though).

I tried mine detergent pickup on mine for the first time yesterday, cleaning the mud off the landy. I used to use Muc-Off degreaser for cleaning my mountian bike, but everyone on the mountain bike forums said to use diluted Tesco Daisy All Purpose Cleaner- its works just as well and is about 1/20th of the price. It did a good job cutting through the remains of that ploughed field and I bet its miles cheaper than any branded stuff (If I remember its about £1 a litre and I diluted it about 5:1)

Landroverjack,,, count me in for three of those ropes if you would be so kind! Do you want us to send paypal or transfer funds to your bank account or will you bring to the pub or whatever?

Got to pick a battery up from near Royston tomorrow, so going to do a few lanes up that way about lunchtime if anyones about.
