OK I am looking at taking the Steering box out of the disco... everything I am reading says that the drop arm is a pig to remove and a big set of pullers will be required. Anyone done this?

yes its not that bad DO NOT CUT OFF or use HEAT mine have always come off ok and i can make a tool if not to get it off been meaning to make one for ages to keep in case there is a biatch one.

Are you changing the steering box for a recon one?

I've got a hydraulic puller to get them off, but it's a bit out of your way to get down here to me.
Thanks Kris... you are right it is a bit of a trek... spoke to Jai tonight and I reckon it shouldn't be too bad to do with his kit... (famous last words :))

Seem to have developed a really sore throat =[ Not all bad news though.. Found an old style £20 note clearing up earlier hahaha!! Hope the banks still accept them :p

Edit: Haha I'm in luck!! :D:D

After June 30 2010 if a bank or building society refuses to swap a note, consumers have the right to swap the notes at the Bank of England itself. The Bank promises that it will honour the face value of any note issued, even notes from before the Second World War.

Jack I can do either day, so whatever suits you best (or anyone else who's coming), I have got an OS map so should be ok.

BTW, took your advice and got myself a pressure washer the other day, blasted all the mud off me landy......... only problem half of it ended up on the neighbours car!!!! So now I've gotta clean his motor to.

Apparently I'm not allowed to park my landy in the driveway any more if its the teeniest bit muddy :( And all the cars on our street are parked on the opposite side of the road so i can't clean it on the street either...:mad: Have you got one with a detergent pick up? or you should look at snow foam adaptors .. they cost a bit but look like they do an awesome job...
