Cool... Kev... the lane where we did the little ford crossing with so much entertainment... I am having trouble identifying it on the map to make sure we don't miss it out. Any chance you could locte it on your maps since you navigated there in the first place?

Sunny intervals predicted for tomorrow so we should have a little of the dry stuff too. Taking video cam this time also!

Chip you re meeting us about 15 minutes before we get to the others. Evrything relies on you being on time! Best of luck... see your pm for my mobile number in case you are delayed.

Can't tell yo how much you'll be missed... except to quote the words " Oh F*** where's kev when you need him?"

To be shouted when you are really... inextricably.... buried in a deep, deep rut (ditch to the rest of us eh DiscoBasher?"

Fine praise indeed - makes me feel like superman. Flattery will get you a long way:D

Got the oil pressure issue sorted.

After much messing about and much mess in general, the problem was the NEW oil filter. Beats me, would never have suspected it, but as Zoolandy can testify, I put the old filter on and oil everywhere!!

Anyway, Rangie running again. Have been wiring in me roof lights, that should be finished tomorrow, well, for the time being until I get round to making a small switch panel and reconfiguring the switching and relays.

All things being equal, will be back on the lanes real soon.

Kev leave the lights come laning :D

I appreciate the thought. BUT,

The wiring is in place but the interior is in bits which is why I have to get it finished coz technically I can't drive it. Anyway, there appears to be a brief sunny spell outside so need to get out there and get cracking.

I might catch up with you guys later but if not have a great day out but do watch yourselves, it's like to be a bit nasty in places.

tried to change my oil yesterday but the numpty who changed it before decieded to do the plug so tight it wont come undo thanks mate!! so will have to take it back to numpty to get it off and replace it anyone know where i can get one for free. ie anyone got one laying around

It is a tricky one that. Have you tried a long breaker bar on it, or an appropriately sized adjustable spanner and a hammer?

The problem is weather or not your sump is in good order, if it is corroded there is a risk of ripping the metal if it is that tight. The other thing that helps is to jack the chassis to give you more room to work.

I put a small bottle jack on the front axle just in front of the near side bump stop and jack it up, then if I'm under there for any time use a large axle stand under the chassis rail.

Could take a look sometime if you like.

just got back from laning wow the 40ft lane is something else almost a mud run got stuck once Thanks glenn for pulling me out but done the rest all ok not one to be done alone tho was a good day shame tho are only open few months of the year.

You survived 40 Foot. Well done - I'm guessin your Range Rover aint standard then. When i went through it a few weeks ago I was getting stuck on me diffs everywhere!!

Did think about trying to catch up with you guys but as ever the Rangie had other ideas, ABS warning light came on (sort of fixed that) and exhaust back box fell off!! (won't be able to weld it up this time lol. Sounds good though.
