There's still a ditch that you could end up in! :D

The ol fen lanes are going to be interesting with all the rain we've been having.

Harlington has been resurfaced, but not in a bad way, it's had the ruts filled in and it's still got a grass surface. Nice lane still.:D

Ok, so another tedious evening in a hotel, well not that tedious due to its location. I have 114 miles on one route and a couple of variations for next weekend.

Cool,

My PDA has gonr tits up! trust ACER Not!

Will be working out a plan of action i.e where to camp/hotel mainly dependant on group size and who wants to camp or hotel it.

I have PAS that does not leak however I have a bastid of a drop arm so am waiting on a puller failing that I'll be looking at making some kind of hydraulic contraption.

Mounted my new shovel to the front wing today aswell all fun and games.

Hi Guys, I hope this isnt too cheeky:rulez: but, I live in Potters Bar & up till know have been laning over in essex with my club, but id really like to drive a few lanes nearer to home. I bought a local OS map but there dosent seem to be very many lanes in herts?

Does anyone have any routes pre planned? ;)

I dont want to p155 off any locals by driving down closed/unused lanes.

any help would be appreciated

Mark

Mark,

There's plenty of stuff to do near Potters Bar, just keep an eye on this thread and join in next time we're out your way.

Cheers, will keep looking.

Ive done a fair bit of laning & some off road trials, Pay & plays - well Yarwell!

So I not a complete newbie LOL

we joined the herts 4x4 club - which i have to say is fantastic! very very good social scene, they lane once a month & arrange driving days at twinney wood & Great dunmow.I know clubs arnt everyones cup of tea but my misses & kids always have a good time, we all met up at billing, stoneleigh & peterborugh shows- its just that I fancy (with a mate in his disco) driving a some more lanes.

Herts 4x4 its s new one on me. Twinney woods is a great site as is Great Dunmow been there a couple of times. Last time we went to Twinny woods whoever laid out must have done it in a suzuki cos all the raingies were definatly losing out to all the trees.

BoB where abouts are you staying up this way? Luton Dunstable Harlington? This is a mental week for me but mabe we couls all catch up and do some local lanes one evening.

The clubs been going a few years now - quite small 140 ish members with some more active than others if you google herts 4x4 you will find it.
Its got some very knowledgeable members who are more than eager to help out with ?

I blew my rear diff last weekend at Yarwell! so quite keen to drive a few lanes.
