It is on the road all bushed up just got a tapping noise to sort out one thing after another poxy range rovers lol james one is getting there when its not raining we have stripped it down got to get the weldiing done on it then build it back up. hope ur ok m8 are tappets easy to fix?

I believe that tappets are pretty straightforward to sort out. Jai or Classic_Kev or DiscoBasher could probably give you step by step instructions
 
DiscoBasher may bea little busy though, I think he's gone out to find a few virgins for Spyderman

Hi RangeyV8.

I know all about the frustrations of a V8 RRC. One way or another I've pretty muched stripped and rebuilt my engine. Tappets not too bad a job on their own. However, if the lifters are significantly worn, you might want to consider replacing the cam shaft. If you do the cam shaft, replace the timing chain at the same time. If you're really brave and can take the motor off the road for a bit take the heads off and do a top end overhaul.

Hey Glenn321 your phone is switched off or something. Where did you have in mind for tonight? There are some lanes over this way if youhaven't done them before... Steppingly/Harlington/Lilley/Redbourne and batford fords and one or two others. Not challenging at the moment and still in a condition where we won't damage them when we drive them.

Let me know what you think. Text messages are taking a load of time to get to me, I got one an hour ago sent yesterday!

alright mate yeah im up for a few over your way what time you wanna head out and who els is up for it. :D as for phone i think i have a Blackberry problem dam thing has only gone wrong since i brought it:mad:
 
Fronty Phil is coming too. Anyone else is welcome of course. Envisage about 3 hours driving (kids are still a bit knackered and need to be in bed at a half reasonable time (b4 midnight). Just about to have dinner so we could head out about 6:30 will PM the meeting place to you now

Kev have been trying to phone you all day but not been able to get connection.I have got that lighting cable you require, get in touch or I will see you downt pub Mon usual time.Just thaught most likely going down tonight 7:30 ish if you need it sooner.
