I managed to get the inlet manifold on the 80 inch, tried to reposition the steering wheel but its causing havoc! 80 inch and a bloody long steering column doesnt work out and get this. its got to be a Land rover steering column and the one I have is one of the shortest well a LR 90 one so.................... I'm a bit stumped I can get it drivable but defo not comfortable!
 
anyone got a cheap pre Efi fuel pump they want to sell cheaply or suggestions of other pumps(been told to get a couple of Vauxhall lecky pumps) pro's cons?. I suppose reliability if one packs up the second is still working, i dunno. Just my luck I have a 3.9 one but not the old type Doh!

Sorry I'm gonna have to duck out again:( Will be in Wales and the Death Wobble has returned and I can't find anything wrong:mad:. Very frustrating!!

Think I'll try replacing the front end bushes, get the tracking checked and maybe replace the tyres but I suppose I 'll just have to bide my time and do one thing at a time.

Yeah, damper was replaced when I had to swap out the track rod - January time I think that was.

This is driving me nuts, the track rod and steering damper are effectively new, the ball joints have all been replaced within the last 3 months, I've just put on a new lower steering shaft, I can't see any obvious play in any of the suspension bushes, the wheel bearings and swivel bearings are all good, no play. So that really only leaves tracking and tyres.

yea ive seen the pro com ones but im not a fan, good old rope. But lets be honest how many beat up mota's do you see at pay and play sites with screwfix special green lifting strops wrapped up around the front of the mots.

ive turned tows down cos of ropes and recovery points, although the procomp seems good to me, little bit of give but not kinetic
