Spydie,

Kai has asked whether he might borrow your prop shaft removal tool thingy to give it a try tomorrow. He's starting on the disco in the morning so we'd be looking at picking it up around lunch if that would be ok.

Hi All,

Thanks for the warm welcome on Wednesday, great bunch of people.

Will be there next time, have given myself a date of 1st Sept (2010) to get me Landy back on the road.

Thanks All

Hiya John,

You are most welcome, Every first Wednesday of the month we will be there. Next time tho I think we try and get in the back room. To all keep together its a nightmare when all the pubs have small tables away from each other.

If you hear of us going anywnere locall laning and want to jump in my passenger seat just shout Jai

Does anyone have a transfer box for my v8 disco laying around? 90% convinced that mine is knackered after kai draiined water and sludge out of it today - found shards of metal and it still won't select hi/lo

Going to flush it with petrol then refil with EP90 and see whether that helps.

Cheers all

Anyone in need of an Almost new (fitted for a month) cost £89, back box for a RR Classic 3.5 EFI (twin tail pipe) comes with a straight through (Rangyboy style) centre pipe make your V8 roar?

£50 ONO?

OK folks, I am looking for some off topic advice here please...

I have found an XJ6 on an L plate. It is sound with no rust and starts on the button. All lights go out as they should but it would need some love and attention to get through the MOT - brake service that sort of thing.

The owner is open to offers but I have no idea what such a vehicle is worth - and the wife would dearly love such a motor.

I know that an N reg example should get between 500 and 1000 with a current MOT and maybe a little tax.

What should I offer for this motor?

Ah the magic petrol wash treatment that rebuilds gear teeth, shims and brgs.

Let us know how that goes!

;)

LOL I know, I know... if it is really ****ed up I will replace it anyhow. But here's the thing.

When Kai drained the xfer box he said that he got about a litre of pure water out of it before the ep90 started to drain. Having drained it and washed it out, then refilled with ep90 I know that we are able to engage hi/low with no problem.

For the sake of bolting the prop back on and trying it out we might as well give it a go.

Of course I know that we may still replace the xfer box but the logic seems sound.

Sean, with 10,000 posts to your credit... do you think perhaps you should examine your life/forum balance?????? ;)

nah here just passes the time of day while i'm waiting for someone to set fire to their tea or forget what their brakes are for - am still a kid here compared to many, time for some tea, toast and a snooze shortly
