I thought Billing was very quiet compared with previous years. Off-road course has been dumbed down severely, mud run had no mud in it just water, the couple of optional bomb holes of previous years had been removed from the route. It was dry and the lake level was very low, but I can't blame the organisers for that.
Met up with Max and bought a few bits. Not a bad day out though, but had better Billing's. 2 shows on the same day did it no favours.
Looking forward to Peterborough.

Sounds good DB and Spyderman. Myself Ryder and I guess DB and Dan had a busy one.
Myself and Ryder got a series III chassis and bulkhead donated to us and collected a Disco from Mr V big thanks to him also LOts of work to come so watch this space. Jai

Definitely a busy weekend, and a rewarding one. Kai decided to escape outside without me today while I took Luke for a game of ten pin bowling with a few friends. He's got all his seats out and has wrapped them in cling film to protect them until it is time to refit them (which might be a while!).

meantime we also went to Steppingly tonight with DB. The rain has made the slippery bit at the end a little deeper than usual and despite the firm sandy base the ruts are deeper than before. Actually left me without forward motion when travelling in both directions, still managed to drive through without further damage to the lane but I imagine the farmer will block the lane for a while to let it dry out.

Oh yes and Kai started rubbing down the frond axle/diff housing for his 109. Soon be ready for a repaint and I am sure it is going to look impressive. Just got to order the seals for each end so he can refit them after painting.

I went upto Billing today, haven't been up there before. Had a good day, not as big as i was expecting mind you, glad I went...followed by a lane and few fords with Stimmo_disco and gibbo Phil.
Would have liked to have gone round the off road course at billing, couldn't risk it with my dodgy tempormental ABS/Traction control

Sounds like you all had a good weekend, sorry I couldn't join in.

I did get out briefly on Saturday, drove Steppingly and Pepperstock and fords at Redbourne. Pepperstock is a right mess, I couldn't believe the amount of fly tipping, a real disgrace.

Anyway, hope to catch up soon once things have settled down.

It was about two thirds the size of normal, Newark was the cause of that. Bloody magazine wars.

Peterborough in Sptember should be great, it was last year.

The off-road course was easy, standard motors were doing it no problem. The lake wasn't even up to the sills. What was annoying was the mud run had been bulldozed smooth, no mud in it just muddy water. I did get it over the roof though.:D

Sounds like everyone had a good weekend. I've been laying decking in the garden with my father-in-law. It's handy knowing a builder who will lend you all their tools and their van for the weekend.

I'd like to try and get to Peterborough but baby is due then so will have to see. Did anyone take any photos at Billing?

Evening all.

I quite enjoyed Billing, First time and all. Looking forward to Peterborough, Bit closer to home for me. Did a couple of lanes on the way back, Met a couple of lads going the other way.

Jai, Parts ordered with no trouble, might get the correct bits, who know's, lady on the phone was very helpful though. Did you still need that Mpeg Converter software?
