Hi chris as you know ill be there to help and i think dan may be helping too.
As for this weekend how does saturday sound aroung about 11ish for the landy?
Thanks, i always take it slow iv got a bad habit of sheering bolts, a copy of that software would be usefull for the futur or whats it called il find it on net and download it, i got a copy of memorymap downloading at mo with all uk maps, its good what you can find for free if you look deep enufJamie, do you have the haynes book for the motor? I have been told that removing the head is not too complicated if you do it by numbers. Use a digital camera and take lots of photos so you can identify how everything goes back together. I have a haynes maintenance manual for the disco that is excellent and I also have a computer program that might provide the information you need, you would be welcome to a copy of the program but its been packed ready for the move... you could easily take some printouts though.
A conversation with Classic Kev, DB or Jai just to pinpoint any areas of special considerations might be of use.
If you come up- against something that seems just a little too complicated them I have found that members here are always only too willing to offer advice and useful info.
I am not just spouting off here. I've been lucky enough to have several members (jai, Kev, and Niel especially) show me how to carry out many routine tasks, and once you pitch in and start getting it done it is amazing how quickly you get results.
Do not, however, expect to do it in the same time that some of the guys on here state. For us who are new to the dark art of landy mechanics it is better to go slow and get it right than steam ahead and make a fatal mistake!
Anyhow, sorry for the long post and I hope this gives you a little more co9nfidence in your own abilities!
Yeah, I can feck anything up.
If you could read you'd notice that I have had a similar bumper that also looked awful, and tried to help by pointing out how vulnerable something low and at the front can be.
You are helping how, exactly?
I made it
all constructive critisism welcome, as i am very keen to improve my fabricating skills
Pintsize, you are the man, that is badass

It covers the 300 tdi, V8 and T series engines and is the RAVE software.

Still looking to obtain a trailer to move the disco though. AND if anyone wants a N reg Galaxy needing a replacement engine (also here) it's going for a song.
