WEL WELL WHOEVER SAID THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BARGAIN RR CLASSIC EH?

needs the offside sill doing, most brake pipes as one split on the ramps and ****ed brake fluid on the exhaust, luckily not hot so no flames.....

couple of odds n sods, so all in pretty ****, will see how much to get all the work done see if its worth it as it runs more or less fine on petrol (lpg a job for another day)

any suggestions of where to get work done fairly cheap as im pretty crap and have no time with work n kids etc.

cheers :D:D:D:Db

Disco52 - Welcome to the madhouse:D Owning a Landrover is about spending the time fixing them as well as driving them.

Does your RRC have ABS? I replaced ALL the brake pipes on mine, not really a difficult job just a bit fiddly and time consuming in places, then of course there was bleeding the system, what a pain.

Rotted sills - pretty common, normally easy to patch. I'll bet you there is a load of rusted out metal where you can't see it.

All in all, it doesn't sound too bad. If you want to learn how to do these things for yourself, you will save a fortune, I don't mind showing you some bits and pieces. As for the thing with kids, I can see what you're saying bu tit occurs to me most young boys have some insatiable fascination for Landys especially if they are being taken to bits to fix 'em - take the opportunity to teach em about how cars work, how to use tools properly and safely - there is a lesson in even the simplest repairs.

Yeah not too bad, work a bit slow but hangin in there.

Rangie seems to be O.K. this week LOL, got a self tapper in one of the back tyres which is a bit of a pain but other than that I think it's looking pretty good.

Hope you'll be able to come out and play some time soon - it feels like ages.

Well as it happens Ive got the week off next week so will try to get out for a foray somewhere. Got a nice welding job to do during the week (vw campers various panels and floor pans) that will give me cash for more toys but dying to get on the lanes again.

Hey thanks. can someone give me some more info on the pub meet please as i would like to come along next time? Spurs yes lets not talk about them hey as when you pay for a season ticket it gets a bit annoying when you cant even win a league game!
Buster

Hi everyone, those that were up for doing the lanes over my way, best to put things on hold for a bit as 2 of the really good lanes are closed for at least 21 days, hope it doesn't end up being longer, will try and find out what is going on, as some really strange things have been happening with these 2 lanes.

Hahaha LMAO - Morning Landy Zone, well I think its morning, A sharp stabbing pain behind the eyes, a mouth like the bottom of Ghandis flip flop and a need for a mega grease burger with cheese - yep sound like morning after one shandy too many!!

At least the sun is shining, don't think I'll be driving anywhere for a bit though. Nice to see 99Claydond is still in the Zone, it was great to briefly touch base with DB yesterday. Leonberger, big hiya fella, say hello to Beth.

When we all gonna get something organerised. Well at least I suppose it will be a couple of weeks when the Spydiemobile is back, hopefully by that time Ryder will have finished his Disco, Jai will be on the road and my Rangie will still be running (maybe?). Time to attempt solids, catch you later.
