Actually just been back out and had another look and I don't think it is hub oil (all over the shoes and drum). I think the brake cylinder is leaking- checked level in the bean can and it has gone down. So Britpart cylinders going in the bin and new Lucas ones ordered from Paddocks- I think this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for and not worth messing around after nearly running into a car because of no brakes

Hopefully get it sorted at weekend ready for 18th.

Cool how many of us are competing on the 18th?

Am quite keen to try an event,

But at present waiting for new parts to turn up,
After having my front wheel fall off !
Was using wheel spacer , so they are gone now, as it could of been serious ,

So new offset wheels coming, new break discs as one got screwed.

Should be all here so will be up and running some time on Saturday

No mate

They are in the bin !!!

It had worn round the bolts which created a wobble so it ripped off I guess,

Don't want the responsibility of selling them and someone else losing a wheel and having a bad crash

Fair enough. What's your motor the disco tray back motor? If so look at Awdc for trials and bhclrc for more local trials. Alternatively I ised to help out on the odd occasion with Burnham off-roaders laying out punches at Tring for a "fun day" thy run a few times a year. Our club we play with are very strict on regs they have a fit if the bumper is half an inch out! Or indeed you take the tailgate off FFS!

Lol !

Think they would have a fit at mine then !
Yes mines the disco tray back,
It's a bit rough round the edges but it's my first build !
But on the plus side I know how to improve it for the next one , and too take more care and not rush lol

I have some 7x16 8 spoke rims tubeless which are almost max offset for our ALRC Regs, but they look horrid! They need to be cleaned up and are too feckin wide ideally. I'll end up with baloon tyres! They are pretty old and crappy tbh but they might do.

Question is do I just fit a pair of my old diamond tyres to them? For the next few comps seeing as it won't cost me a penny? Can I deal with their horidness!

Yea not as good as they could be but I'll mount one and see how much more lock I get. I detest 8 spokes they are even the old blue and red strip cheap ones that were popular late 80's and 90's on every kit car and landy that was messed with seemed to have them fitted!

I'm after some max offset rims landy rims are usually +33mm offset what I need is around -13mm on a 6.5 inch rim which are not a std thing. I'll be alright with these give it a go
