Trial courses demand precise control abilities. anyone can blat around whaddon without getting stuck. Trialling you wont find many experienced drivers blatting about its all about being in total control.
Being in total control,
Will learn over time what your vehicle can and can't do,
Accurate steering and speed between canes for a more precise driving style,
Some clubs can be funny with silly rules but most are ok.
When you get a tricked up defender 15K worth being ****ed on by a 1966 bog standard 88 makes you think about driving technique. everyone knows the car is less capable but the experienced driver makes up for it, more importantly know his vehicle inside out.
I have been away from Trialling for about a year or so but when I was doing it regulary there was an old guy called Ted used an old jeep only a 1000cc but he was winning all the classes beating tricked up V8 defenders and the like. He really upset those drivers I can tell you Jai

To be fair Spyderman has his mota pretty sussed! I say blatting about whaddon refering to those V8 rangie wrecks that should be crushed if found on the road! There are lots of em! I think Us Herts/Beds Laners have a jolly and we are a good bunch, nobody disrespects the law and drives with care and respect for the countryside oh and we like a bit of mud too!
