I was saddened to get a text from Jai to say Brett had passed away. Brett was always ready to help others, gave of his time and knowledge he will be missed.

Although it is sad to think he has gone I have thought of the many adventures we have shared and it made me laugh. Looking back on this thread you can get a sense of his style and wit. He was always positive, calm under pressure and was happiest up to his bumper in gloopy mud or in over the bonnet in water and doing things a Series shouldn't be able to do. RIP mate.

Very sad news indeed. I was just starting to get to know him at the pub. Sad he won't hear his V8 now. My best wishes go out to his wife. Looks like our next meeting will be more of a wake.

Brett had some moments indeed with us all. So many memories as you say Kev.

Just some of my favourite:

Zapping himself on an electric fence on Salisbury plain,

Wheel falling off in sainsburys carpark,

Seeing him in his wing mirror at midnight wetting himself laughing after I fell out of my Pristine landy falling in a 3 ft deep puddle and ending up on my arse in the puddle. On a Ryder Rescue form Santa Pod.

Never camping always going for the Hotel option with a comfy bed.

Being one of the guys, **** taking at every opportunity and finally telling the marshalls in no uncertain terms at Billing I believe he told them to get Fuc**d he wanted to drive the deep bit.

Hiya Jai/Andy

Have you put up a General post so that all the other LZ folk who may of heard of Spyderman but obviously have no reason to follow this thread will be notified?

JC

Just got the terrible news from Jai.. Brett was such an awesome carefree kinda guy and will be sorely missed. While i didnt know him all that long, his personality shone through with everything he said and did. He would help out no questions asked and always aim for the biggest muddiest bog to get stuck in!!

I wish his family all the best - if a donation system can be put up I will definitely contribute.

RIP

Really sorry to hear the news about Brett.
Haven't been out with you guys in a long while, but do keep an eye on here. When I got my 1st D2 he took a group of us out laning and had a great day in good company.
RIP Brett.

My thoughts are with your family at this sad time.

Hi All,

Not been on here for a year or so, but... Gutted to hear about Brett. It's always the good ones that C takes away.

Let me know if a tribute drive is arranged. I've only got an astra these days but I may be able to borrow something.

RIP Spyderman.

RIP Brett
Only meet him the once and I gotta say he was one of the stand up guys, couldn't have been nicer and more helpfull, the day laning was one of the best days I've had in my Landy !
My thoughts are with your family.
