i wud love too come along, but am unlikely to have a motor ready by then, so i wud need a lift (possibly for the Doris too).
I've got a spare seat. It's a very comfy Cobra Bucket Seat, it's yours as long as your ass isn't too bug to fit in it.
Ryder probably has room on his roofrack fer yer Doris, or I'm sure we could find her a seat somewhere.;)

Zoolandy,

PM me your phone number of you would, so I can have a little chat about the machine you left with me last night. Cheers mate

It would be fine. They're very capable just in standard trim.
What tyres have you got? A/T's or Muds, would be an advantage, but we never leave anyone. Recovery points, i.e tow bar on rear and Jate Rings or similar on the front are pretty vital.

just got normal S+M tyres on Michelin Syncro 4x4 i think, or something like that anyway, have a towbar on the back, but not any jate rings. Where would it fix to on a TD5. They are all plastic on the front?

Virtually all the lanes and mudholes have some sort of getout method. i.e. you can drive the shallow ruts/water/mud instead of the deep stuff. There are very few places where this doen't apply.

when i first went to the plain i had normal road tyre on its a lot of fun there will be plenty of bodies and vehicles and **** takeing i guess ,,,,,,,,, are you sure you havent got standard towing eyes behind the bumper on the chassis ????????

There is a plastic flap with the toweye behind on the front of the disco 2's.

If necessary, I can bring my jate rings that I haven't fitted yet but I'll be wanting them back!!

Robint, rest assured somebody will be gettin stuck (just hope it ain't me -lol) and there will then be a suitable chastisement later washed down with beer of course!

As it stands it looks like there is going to be roughly 20 going out. We're going to have to split into groups and I have no idea how that is going to work out. I think we'll need to try and balance local knowledge, capabilities of cars/drivers and who has CB. Anyway, as it seems I have been volunteered to co-ordinate this little bash I'll post something toward the end of next week so everyone can have their say.
