Done in record time again, seen as you've finished this early may as well get changed and go for a pint with George:p

Chassis don't look too bad from pics, is it a keeper?

where's the pics of DAF?:)

Ooops, Only just seen this, You replied while I was replying.
Will post pics when it arrives :p

That's true. Half shafts might wonder what the hells going on :(

Yeah, I don't want silly amounts of power anyway so should be fine.

Hi matey - keep the blue one with Aaron Morris Land Rover Specialists signage on the side panels. ;) :D

Installing a cummins 6bt would mean hefty running costs. Fit a TDI to Red Shed and sell on mate. :D

In the Dodge 4x4 pickup they get really good MPGs for pushing 4 ton boxes, mid 20's close to 30 if you are easy on it:rolleyes:

As Thor says, Shouldn't be to bad if my right foot isn't to heavy :p
If this ever gets on the road I'll let you have a drive and you tell me it's not worth it :D

Exactly :D I'll be taking it nice and easy, Honest guv :p

The 6BT does seem a bit OTT. Are they cheaper to get hold of that a 300 or 200TDi?

What sort of BHP were you thinking of setting it up as?

stick a 200tdi(defender) in it and fit proper seats int back, then flog it to me (cheap) ;) :p

Cheap and landrovers aren't two words I would usually use together :p

at least you finish your rebuilds :D :p

Good point :D This ones going to be a challenge though

Probably is OTT, But I've built a standard 90 so I fancy doing something a little different, And a challenge (a big one at that)

I'd run it at standard BHP 150ish if I remember right, Then if I feel the need for more as Thor said earlier theirs plenty of bolts on if you have enough cash

Oh and nope they aren't cheaper nor are they as simple to fit. This conversion is going to cost a good few quid  But will be worth it in the end :)

If you've got a dream, son, then go for it :D

TBH Aaron I quite like Red Shed :) personally I would keep it standard with only upgrades being new discs brakes, new wheels and a TDI engine then sell on and buy another :D

Oh and keep it RED!!!

Not a dream as such, Just something I fancy having a go at :)

Can't believe I missed the first 5 pages or so

Not really missed anything mate, Just the big strip down. Nowt interesting yet :D

I did use a bit of G10 on the bonnet and it came up very well :) But the bulkhead needs a top corner so I'd have to try and blend that in.
But it may actually stay red regardless.
I'll build this and sell the blue one. Made my mind up with this build I think  Unless it all gets a bit to much.

Power is always the answer :p fit a 6bt and crank it up

Yep :D Something like this should help :p

Also mate i say goodlu I and get a cummins engine in her!!

Yeah, Think I'm going for it mate. Well I say think I'm going for it.
I am going for it provided me Daf turns up

So I started striping the front axle today.

Got radius arms off.
Shocks where next. This is the best way I have found of holding the shock.
Still works if you have the spring fitted just a bit tighter for space.

Had a bit of trouble with 3 of the swivel ball bolts being f*cked. So I cut them off. Removed the ball which leaves enough of a stub to grab hold of.

So again I used a small pair of stillsons and they flew out :p
