Go twenty four splines very strong and tiny bit more mpg tiny though, my offender is on disco three hundred xs auto axles

I was thinking about going the whole disco axle route still might just depends as some people say 10 spline are stronger then 24 spline vice versa but Its still going to have an Lsd front and back when I've got the funds to make it happen
 
MY 24s are great tried 10 and 12 but 24 win hands down. Axles are cheap enough now. You will if you fit them need splats, brows actually, I find it was a cuffuffle when mate put then onto series a bit to do, I'd suggest if you want to do it then use old axle take out diffs and put 24 spline out lightweight 2a? Shafts then es-xs 300 diff sometimes depending on the year of diff or shafts you need a tickle of fileing but that's how my new girl got it, I thinks when mine was done by my mate he cut chunk out of shafts and re-welded but not sure how much, she's been through hell eversince no twists no breaks

Tbf if I get a pair of detoit trutracks I shouldn't have any worry off diffs smashing as I wouldn't have a center pin in the planet gears that's what usually brakes in the 2pin diffs I'd be more worried about twisting shafts and munching Crown wheels/pinions Under load
 
LOCKERS AREN'T ALL THAT GREAT, IF YOU CONTINUE TO GO LOCKERS GO FOR KAM, they're amazingly strong that's what I have in my 90,

So painted the other side yesterday and the rear of the tub just need to paint the bulkhead green now as the roof rollcage capping hinges light surrounds are All going black

So went Peterborough Saturday and found some bits and bobs that's are small things but just tidy the truck up

So sticker for the grill sound and brought a new grill with the badge

And also some wingtop I know there not series ones but hay what's not defender on my truck also got some plates of rac parts for the vents on top it also puts the snorkel right where I want all the pipe to be as lines up with the intake on engine
 
Are they the original type headlamps? If they are I'd definitely recommend the wipac crystal headlights with Halogen bulbs make a hell of a difference and not too expensive. They're what Ive got in mine

sometimes the old sealed beam lamps are a better item, i've seen a few of the modern halogen units full of water/crap when off roading, the sealed beam units don't suffer from that

Just read this from the 1st page and fairplay to you pal, as said before this is such a cool first car! And even better that its not some financed corsa/polo etc. Looks so much better now its painted, looks mean.
And i know its abit random but i see you posted that you had a 2.25d as an option, just wondering if you happen to still have it and if you want to sell it?

True but for on road use I think they're much better than the candle in a jam jar that is the original :) Depends what you use your motor for I suppose
