Hi I’ve recently got an issue with my landy , she come off the road to have the head gasket done , which we do all ourselves, that was all fine put her all back together , done the timing etc , she started and we thought job done! But for some reason she started making a noise so we took the rocker cover off and the very first one on the screw adapter kept needing to be adjusted? and was also hard to undo and on the roller side of it , it had seized and become rough to the touch which caused the part of the cam that touch it to do the same , can somone please shed a light on what has caused this ?! I’mhoping I just missed something simple

Whatever about which engine it is, and i too am guessing TD5, if a rocker has seized and the camshaft/lobe feels rough to the touch, then it and its follower are toast, sadly.
And yes, this only happens when there is a shortage of oil to the bearing/touching surfaces.
So you'll need a new cam etc.:(:(:(
But once you have got the old one out you need to establish exactly what caused the lack of oil to the cam and followers. Maybe an oil gallery hole to the head is now blocked by misalignement or wrong positioning of the new gasket?
Just guessing here.
Or it could be a lump of cr@p has got into a hole during the work.
Feel your pain.:(:(:(
