Hi all, it's been a long time I don't post anything as there have been too many changes in my life so no time for anything.
Could you please give me a hand with this?
I'm changing radiator and as I striped apart everything I'm changing most of the pipes since I am not able to find a coolant leak.
I was about to change this small hose
tk73JH6

But the only way to remove it it's by cutting it, will I have a problem when I fit the new one because I'm concerned if I need to remove the oil cooler as well in order to fit the new hose.
Thanks a lot

For your elusive coolant leak have you checked the core plug in the middle of the exhaust manifold or o rings in the fuel cooler?

Yes, I changed the o'rings in fuel cooler long time ago and I checked several times the core plug but I couldn't see any leaking around there.
In regards to the oil cooler hose, yes I blanked the egr so does it mean I can put a plug off in both sides? I thought it was only possible in facelift discos. Are there any implications by doing this?
Thanks a lot!

Is your egr blanked off? If so you can cap this off and do away with that entire pipe.
I'm fairly sure the EGR has to be removed completely to cap it.
@volquete It's an arse to get off and cutting is easiest but a new one can be put back with a lot of wiggling and squishing. It WILL go back on.

I had to stop the job yestterday because of the rain , I´m coming back to it in a minute, I was printing off some intercooler layouts since I can´t remember the bracket´s positions  as I removed everything long time ago and due to personnal circustances I couldn´t start with it until yesterday.
Hopefully I´ll get it done today

A picture of the mess

Mission aborted so far,
I didn´t realise how bad the intercooler was so I´ll get another one

More issues, I just received a used intercooler bit when I was about to fit it I noticed that one of the brackets is missing (broken). I contacted the seller and he's telling me that it's solid enough but I don't agree, what do you think?
Pict of the broken mounting bracket

There's a wall of air pressing on it when driving so I wouldn't install it like that. Short of sending it back, I would drill a hole and install a bolt or similar in there to function as the original holding pin. BTW, are you sure the one you're replacing is not in a better condition than that one ?

Apologies for the multiple posts above. Don't know what happened - the screen was freezing and I cannot find a way to delete them. Sorry.

No worries at all about the multiple posts and thanks for your help.
I spoke to the guy and he's willing to give the money back so no more concerns.
It looked alright to be fair and I was told that worked fine but who knows as he didn't mention anything about the broken pin.
I'll order one today from GOS or similar, anyway how do check if the intercooler is alright?

OMG, I duplicate posts like you, there might be an issue with the forum.
Sorry about this

I normally check it when I'm cleaning the inside with white spirit and then dry it with air at low pressure. So I just seal one end and check for leaks. So far so good as I'm still on the original after 20 years ! And hope this post won't bounce again

An update because I'm getting frustrated
After finishing off all the job, I fitted several hoses and radiator apparently everything runs fine but I noticed today a coolant leak in top hose (new one Allmakes) in both sides, one from engine side and one from radiator spigot.
The hose is stiff on touch and a little overpressure as always but it's discharged once the engine cools down. No temperature or performance issues at all.
So... Can I just assume that the hose is low quality and should I swap it over a silicone/genuine one?
Thanks a lot
