i have a 1997 P38 and have opportunity to put new wheels on it. They are 255/50R18. Can they go on with no adjusters or should they go on?

They will fit, even if the studs don't line up, just get a couple of nuts on, good enough.

For goodness sake, get a grip, thats dangerous.

Do it properly and just drill out the existing holes with a bigger drill till at least three nuts fit:)

Post in the P38 section. 18" wheels are homologated for the P38 but you need to make sure they have the correct load rating, the P38 weighs 2.25 tonnes and you need the correct rim witdth, tyre profile etc to give the correct rolling radius or the speedo will be incorrect. Even if the stud holes line up, you may need new nuts and spigot rings.
The P38 handles better on 16"

thanks folks...it was just to make sure that these size of wheel/tyre were good enough for the car...ended up having the wheels on it cleaned and sorted...looks rather fab.
