is there any one near Leigh wigan with a faultmate,
list of jobs Ive done
new battery as last one was on its last legs went flat
new in tank fuel pump
had a bacterial infection in fuel now killed off and pipes are clear new fuel filter as well
tested stop solenoid that's ok
my symptoms are it will fire but wont run, other threads suggest a code sync.
ive tried all week in-between work, rain and daylight.mot is up on Tuesday and id really like to get it done on Monday.
i have a bottle of Jamesons for someone who can help
its a 98 dse
thanks Tim

If it fires, it's not a sync problem. You may have blocked injectors or air in the lines, try cracking the injectors unions one by one as it cranks over.

hi , what type ??? petrol / disel ???
what year ?????
engine size ????
what you need is a faultmate or nanocam or autologic
a syncmate will not be the machine for you to sort the running out ,if you need to talk P.M.me and ill give you my no ,,cheers MOZZ:crazy_driver:

try the fuel pump relay its the yellow one in the fusebox under bonnet swap it with another yellow one they are all pretty much the same common problem

He did say a 98 DSE...!!

tried that datatek still no joy
tried that wil still no joy
thanks anyway

I assume you got a high pressure squirt of fuel out of each one as you cracked them open and cranked it? As it was bacterial, the injectors themselves could be blocked, it fires on fuel that has dribbled out.
Could try a squirt of easy start, not normally to be recommended, but if you can get it to run for a couple of seconds it might clear itself.

today ive got it running after i put a new stop solenoid on BUT!!!
it started without manifold on and ran ok for 10 minutes but hardly any accelerator (which was my original Problem)turned it off put manifold back on and then it wouldnt start it would fire but wouldnt run.
ive blown all fuel related pipes out with air compresor including into the injector,
just seem to get back pressure all the time as it blows the seal off the filter, i dont understand why its doing this.
could the cat be blocked? i just cant think off anything else

Blows the seal of the fuel filter? If so, I think your FIP may be stuffed.

thanks for the bad news datatek
looks like the 1979 mini Ive been putting back together will have to get a mot tomorrow and see what santa can do for the range rover after xmas as ive almost run out of time to spend as the silly season approaches, being a chef i dont think many more days off are coming my way

If it runs without the manifold on then it could be related to the MAF that is located just after the air filter or even a turbo problem or blocked intercooler.

hi sainty , indeed he did ...noticed it after i posted ,,, its either the dementia or the specsavers for me ?????????????? cheers mate .mozz :D:D:D
No Porbs Mozz - I am used to it when dealing with the Wammer or Datatek... :D:D:D:D:D:D

If it blows the seal of the fuel filter, I not sure how you extrapolate that to an air filter/intercooler/turbo problem:confused:
