While investigating 4 amigos ABS issue today I came across this item (circled in red) hanging loosely next to the accelerator mounting assembly. Can anyone identify it's purpose?

While I am looking in microcat, worth asking did you put some sort of tester and tell where the amigos come from? usually is 1 or many abs sensors.

It’s a piece of rubber/sponge on the end of the throttle cable. Unsure what it does but it’s standard.

Is it there to stop the pedal travel hitting the bulkhead, but hanging down as the fixing has failed?

OK, solved this one myself the next day when i started the car, put my foot down on the throttle and got absolutely nothing! It's the throttle cable, I must of dislodged it from the retaining groove on the pedal when i changed the brake switch the day before. Doh!
