Oh the drive plate jobbie? I guess it'd be sensible to replace them too if I'm doing the CVs?
spline wear was the curse of lt77s and also r380s till cross drilled gear was introduced its caused by lack of lubricationNope, Didn't know spline wear was a problem...

Still, it is a relief knowing that the shunt wasn't just a case of "they all do that sir" and there really was a problem. She should be a lot nicer to drive when this is sorted out.
I drove my friend's D2 that has covered similar mileage and it was like driving a normal car in terms of transmission backlash. That's what convinced me to pull the Tbox off. Well I say me, said friend with the D2 did most of the work!
