help
ive bought another disco for meself (1997) and decided to keep the old one as well (1995)
problem is the new one just dont go no where near as well as the old one ive done a lot of work on the new one including service and the only difference between the two is the new one has a stainless air ram type thing
i was wondering is there any way to adjust anything maybe pump timing or possibly adjustment screws on the pump itself
please help me to pull the skin of a rice pudding as i cant at the mo
cheers roger

yes. take off the egr thingy firstly and scrap it.
then get a proper diesel mech to adjust the IP.
you can DIY, but its not really recommended.

if you can afford it, also get a new (larger) intercooler.

cheers for that i have heard about the egr valve but i do still have one fitted on the other disco and seems to not slow it down but i think your right about the pump timing
only other thing i have been told is was the turbo working
in my experience they normally smoke when tyhey go but is this allways the case
also are there intercoolers out there on other vehicles that fit the disco to add a bit more power
cheers roger
