Well, its funny to see my first thread and read back through it. My how things have changed!

I now know a lot more about cars, have crossed off pretty much every item on the original list and done a bunch more stuff to it as a little extra. Also found a damn good friend in warren as well so it's lucky for him he stumbled across my thread all those years ago :p

As to the car itself, thought i should show it off now its looking a little tidier.

This is how it was a couple of weeks ago at the landrover show. Led rear light rings, yellow suspension, genuine land rover bullbar, tinted windows, bigger wheels, lift kit, facelift center console, Android touchscreen radio, LED light bar etc.

This is how it looks now, had a little facelift upgrade :D Need to work on some longer brackets to fit the bullbar back on and then i'm all sorted :D

Fixing up this old car has given me a lot of knowledge, i've made new friends and it turns out that my old junker was number 46 off the production line so kinda cool to have a 20 year old car still going strong. Even if it is a little less recogniseable! Warren joked it'd be easier to have just bought a facelift car and pretended it was early by painting the door tops black! haha.

So yeah, cheers for all the help guys! :D

You've obviously put heaps of work (and cash) into it.

To think, one day, you'll sell it and the new owner will rip it all off and return it to the initial production run spec!

Haha, yeah it's certainly had a lot of hard work put into it. Financially it's not been too bad as I tend to stalk ebay for bargains. The bull bar was £70 brand new, almost new tyres £150 for five, facelift headlights rear lights and front/rear bumpers were £80 for the kit. The head gasket I just do myself now so it's like £50 to change. I bought Warren's old car for spare parts so that helped a lot too.

Cant see me selling it any time soon so hopefully nobody is restoring it to its former disgrace! :D

Well done. The results of your hard work show. I really should set about improving the appearance of my facelift SE. But I either don't have time or the inclination. It's a bit of work horse, so gets messy as soon as I use it.:(

Cheers mate. I know the feeling, the insides of mine looks like a garage has been tipped upside down in there! Keep meaning to sort it but there's always something else to do that stops me getting it done haha.
