The 135i was a great car, was just about to replace my m3 with one. Unfortunately wifey was pregnant so had to get a fl2 instead!
Hell if he could afford a new why not, warranty no hassle you can drive it on weekends as you aint fixing it, No HGFs, leaky axles, over heating..... uj's to fix
Nver bought a brand new fender have you? These problems remain the same regardless of age.

The only difference between old and new is that on a new one you can get someone else to fix it for free

What? Really the fleet we have is always going wrong straight off the bat. The 90 i had the speedo failed at about 500 miles on the clock. Theres been diff faults gear box faults, body mounting issues....try defender2 forum for more examples.
