Latch complete. The key in warning is as Keith says the flap on the ignition barrel sticking, if you don't have that ignore comments about it.

You're a star Ta
I picked up a thread yesterday that suggested a squirt of wd40 incase anything in the locks was sticking any thoughts on that

Ill wait to see if he picks up the thread.

Any thoughts on the WD40 post..just to see if anything is sticking in the locks ?

I tried the WD40 certainly loosened things up. Tried the EKA procedure again but no luck. Key code lock out again.
Re the post about the flap on the ignition.. there isn't one.

If its as suspected its the lock module does anyone know the part number... (don't want to start taking apart just yet)
Thanks to everyone for comments so far

There should be a small flap that drops down when you remove the key. If you remove the key and the flap does not drop you should get a Key in ignition message on display. When the key is in and the microswitch on the flap is closed this disables auto lock. With the key out and the flap dropped microswitch open circuit auto lock is enabled. For example if the flap is down and the car is accidentally unlocked. If no door is opened the car will relock it'self after one minute. If the flap is stuck up it will not automatically relock but stay unlocked.

Good news Im back with a running car.
Not entirely sure how, but it appears that WD40 on the locks ...a few turns of the key.. give it a few minutes and try EKA again and Bingo..

That said it is always possible that a few press of remote buttons may have done some good and completed a sequence will never know for sure but for now all good
Many thanks to you all

Good news, just for your info, it is not advisable to lock with the key and unlock with the fob or visa versa.;)
