Has anyone fitted a twin pipe JanSpeed exhaust to their P38 (all models have same). The standard fit is a T peice round the spare wheel housing. However the JanSpeed is a Y peice which seems to go across it!
They say they have sold loads and never a proble.....but 2 things a) heat on the body work as no heat sheild there and b) reduces ground clearance a bit I guess?

Just need to be sure it will fit/work before I start.

Hi,
I've fitted a RPI stainless steel exhaust something like 8 years ago.
Design is similar to what you describe, it doesn't follow OEM path.

I didn't have any heat issues, nor clearance issue since the tube is at same level as the frame of the tow bar.

i had one fitted to mine, yes the pipe runs across the wheel well with a good inch gap, also you will need to trim the rear bumper to allow the tailpipes to fit properly, they are an excellent piece of kit, mine was fitted for a year and had no problems at all, just a shame i had to sell it due to financial reasons

Thanks for all the advice. Just when held up at first it seemed wrong! Anyway its now on and with the 2 shiney stainless end pipes sticking out it looks great. Will be interesting to see if performance/mpg improves any!

PS bought a Bearmach Hawkeye reader. If anyone needs any codes checking/deleting I am nr Junc 29a M1!

my mpg went up by about 2mpg for the first month or so then went down by 5 mpg for some reason, souned nice though, especially in confined spaces or tunnels
