Also which reader is best to get? Is it the icarsoft one?
Best for D3 is Gap iid Bluetooth tool. Its app driven on your phone. Costs around 500 new 300ish 2nd hand but its the no1 tool for d3/4 rrs and l332 etc

If you don't want to spend that much icarsoft is pretty good for DIY, I've got LRv2 it can do a lot tbf, especially for DIY purposes.

I'll be getting a Gap iid tho when funds allow as you can recoup a lot of the cost if you sell your car

Ok update for you all.

Got in it, put it in nuetral with foot on the brake holded down the low shift selector control for 10seconds. It made a weird clinking noise the light went off waited 30seconds put foot back on the break and selected high transmission and it sounded like it was engaging into gear and then randomly started moving. All lights are off it and seems back to normal.

Its a miracle.....or is it 😂.

that’s great news the trick of moving from low to hi got u moving again

reason was that low light showing , it will actually ask for low to be selected if the terrain dial is moved to rock crawl , alas don’t know if that could have been accidentally turned

but at the end of the day with a team effort you've finally managed to get it back home which is the main goal

indeed ref code resets the gap iid and another one is the Autel AP209 at around £60.00 , is a great basic reader

Amazon product

seeing a garage will charge from £100-200 just to plug one in they pay for themselves very quickly , plus it’s the convenience of having one urself when a light pops up u can find out there and then without the hassle of waiting for an appointment

do feel having one along with a multimeter and decent car charger are a must with these vehicles

plse let us know how u get on and if u get a scanner and post the code error codes here we may be able to help u further before it going to a garage
