Glad you got to civilisation..

I'd still bet a pound to a piece of poo its your head gasket..

Have you got the tools to fix that? To be honest, you're gonna have to do it twice...once to get you the 500km home and then again because its always a sensible idea to skim the head. If its warped, which they often are after a catastrophy like you have had..otherwise it will just keep happening.

You could try..if you are brave!!..throwing a load of gasket seal stuff in just to get you home...

oic ok thanks storm again ur my angel ...:)....so i got 2 buy 2 head gaskets to standby....one change now..n the other if it happens again sooner or later right ??....wat abt the radiator though..?? the milked tea color ...is it normal..??...u know here the gaskets coz abt 30 pounds per piece..so ok i still got 2 change it anyhow...:)

oh yeah one more thing is ...it seems the water is coming out v slow...when i drive v slow...its logical though right?? but why temp still rise when the water is still a lot inside...and its boils aftr a short distance..??,,,and dont have any tools n knowledge to do it on my own...

if i were in the current situation....

i would make the assumption that the head gasket gone and head warped.
(given the scenario)
after seeing "blown" head gaskets and "warped" heads, i would take the risk of tightening all the head bolts, the centre bolts a bit more than the rest, as this is the direction of warping. (difficult to explain how tight, work on 1/2 - 3/4 turn on the bolts under the rocker cover, 1/4 - 1/2 turn on bolts outside rocker cover. note which if any are easier to turn that others)
the theory being it might pull the head onto the gasket enough to stop blowing water out the header tank (the cause of water loss) and keep things cool enough to get some a permenat fix to be effected.

for the proper fix, the head will need skimming, and i would get it pressure tested first to make sure its reuseable. will also want new head bolts with the over tightening.
be prepared for a new head too, with the abuse its had.

will try and find a thread on head replacement, unless someone gets to it before me.

nrg

nb. this would be my fix, given i am not there and can only read what you've put!

thanks nrg ...but i wouldnt dare to do it myself...coz aint got the tools..so guess gonna have to wait till monday ...all my plans in the drain already so just hangin on there ...anyhow thanks for all ur support guys...

probably really warped lookin at pics.
block should be ok, give a rub over with an oil stone and oil.

cant tell how warped head would be from pics.
may skim up ok, depends how much needs taking off.
put head on surface plate just to see if it sits straight, tho you may not be able to tell with eye. specialist job, skimming people may have better idea with head in front of them. (and they should have a surface plate)
if they reckon it can be skimmed, go for a pressure test on it first to make sure it aint cracked.

unfortunately nowt you can do now without the gear to test and skim.

other than that, a new head.

best of luck

Glad to hear your mobile again. Not suprised, them little buggers can fix anything with nothing. What part of our ex empire you in?

I mean I was up in the New territories Hong Kong a lifetime ago. Blew the engine out my relic of a Landy. Guy beside the road made piston rings out of a Coke can.. and they worked !
