Hi all,

Right. Got the freelander today. After 10 miles the ECU light came on its with the exclamation mark in the middle. We lost power as went into limp home. Had the RAC out and the RAC said its fuel pressure sensor. He took light off and went on our way, however first sight of a hill and the power went. Light remained off, however we had no power on way home, revs went max to 3750 and we struggled to break 60. We stopped and re started the car, and it was again fine until a hill.

Any ideas??

Cheers,

A worried husband to an upset wife!!

He was a trader, I called him and said to which he got very aggressive. Didn't seem bothered my wife and 4yo were in the car when it happened. Not sure on my rights, but will be calling CAB this morning!!

FFS!
Read the crock of **** thread.

He has 2 choices. It is unfit for purpose. All faults within the first 6 months are legally deemed to be present when sold.
He can either repair FOC or give you your money back.

Then contact trading standards.

Yep what he says.

Being aggressive probably means he knew of the problems.

trading standards threat will help quell any aggression.

Read the crock of **** thread - it's all in there how to do it and what to say and do.

Law is in your side with this.

Sorry, for some reason my replies weren't being sent - now I have repeated myself!!

I have today taken to a local landy specialist, said needs some tlc but he couldn't find the fault. Been fine all day, the wife takes to work on motorway and power goes. No lights, so the specialist can't figure the issue. Said could be pipes, but checked and couldn't see. Said fuel pump was ok. Any ideas as once fixed, car will be perfect!!
