Hi everyone, I've been lurking on here since starting my Landrover adventure back in August last year with 'Lola', my 1969 Series 2a, and thought it time to officially jump in. I'm pretty useless on the spanners, always over-order parts, and can't find time to finish even the smallest jobs off properly, but I'm loving it nonetheless. Wife remains to be convinced, but that's another thread..!

Over ordering is not a problem, you will need it sooner or later.
The wife issue I cant help.
As for the spanners situation, if your willing its all doable plenty of guidance here.
