Okay, okay......you lot just MIGHT be right? I've got to page 10 of the Freelander Faults Poll and it is a bit depressing to say the least.....BUT.....mostly for other Freelanders and not mine ! LOL!

Seriously, will have to think long and hard for the next few days.

Do any of you think that there just might be the smallest, teeniest, minutest chance that my V6 has broken the mould?

When posting your replies...........remember, I'm just a girl.....and I like the nice soft leather interior (handbag looks great against it!), the carpet is a nice pale pink colour (to match the leather seats) and it is all in all a nice girly looking little car!

Not really a car for a boy to be seen in!
:D

Sean i'm a petrolhead what do you expect doozle engines should only be used in generators IMHO

My opinion though of course.
My only thinking adjustment was in the viablility of the v6 not the 1.8 they're brilliant.

....hey Sean........don't you think the pink carpet and pink leather seats might make it a bit special? The great Land Rover Spirit may be looking out for it? :D

Upon such a question religions are based.

it sounds very special, just for ''special'' people

I assume you don't have a BF that'd ever want a lift ?

oh...just realised what it means!

I'm sure my girl friends would love to have a lift in it!

Not sure about a bloke though? Colour might intimidate him!

I'm off to bed to get my beauty sleep and hope I don't have any bad dreams about my new car. I guess if the engine is going to constantly get over hot because of inadequate valves/hoses/other bits and pieces, it's a liability.

Thanks for all your advice - no doubt I'll be back to give you an update in a few days time! Nite, nite! :D

Now then, Freakylander.

Welcome to the forum.

I spent my first day driving a 1.8 Freelander today, after my mate borrowed my Disco.

It isn't half bad.

But in the three weeks he has had it he has broken a prop shaft, just by scooting round the fields. He has also been warned by one of our mechanic mates about the cylinder head. I think 80,000 miles was mentioned (and it's currently reading 76,000), so I imagine it will be going soon.

I would get rid, inventing some story about you not liking the ride height, or some such thing.

Cheers.
