Hello all, never even imagined myself owning a Land Rover, have drove people carriers for the past 20 years. When it was time for a change from my Renault Scenic, I thought of having something smaller. As it happened a friend of my husband bought a Freelander 2, and decided to sell his cherished Freelander Td4. My husband took me to look at it, unsure at first, but I knew if I buy something that my husband likes, and is familiar with, he will happily look after it for me above and beyond something he 'would not drive if he was given it for free'. So far I like everything about it, apart from the big shiny bars along the bottom of the doors, that made it awkward to get in and out, so my husband took them off for me, he is also making the windows and sunroof operate by remote control for me, and doing something so I can send a text that will start a heater thing and the air conditioning, so it warms the engine and defrosts the windows come winter.
Will post some pictures soon.

Welcome Landy Rose to this den of iniquity and Landyzone lunatics..... With apologies to anyone unfortunate to have any form of mental illness  Looking forward to some pictures soon. And, why not post some of your new car at the same time. :p

Thanks for the welcome, people who have seen it ask if it gets used. It has 91,000 miles on the clock, has had a new clutch, and other things underneath, shafts, and brakes, and discs, and a new sunroof. My husband took all the insides out to spray all the gold bits blue, the rear doors were stiff so he took all the bars off and fixed them. the passenger side mirror that moves in and out was a bit floppy too, so he fixed it also, he showed me 2 little pins that had broken, he put two tiny bolts in like someone on here did.
