roglander

New Member
Hello everyone
I've just bought my first Freelander 1.8 XEi and theres a few things wrong with it and I was wondering if there common problems and easy fixes firstly when I press my brake pedel my speedo lights up and the brake light above the spare wheel flashes as though theres a bad connection.
secondly I drive my mates MG ZR alot and his clutch pedal bites high up and he tells me all rovers do when they bit low down there knackered is this the same with the Freelander as my pedal bites close to the floor is this an issue.
Thanks in advance for you help

ang on now LZ is all PC n polite shouldnt we be telling him it's the bestest ever car in the whole wide world ?

head for the freelander section and have a read of some of the posts. I fear you may regret buying a gaylander.

so is the cluch knackered then Sean

if you can change gears then no it's not knackered but you may wish to have a look at some of the fecking zillions of posts about your choice of vehicle and then tomorrow (if it's an option) take it back to where ever you got it from and get yer money back

probably not, but if you can use that as an excuse to get yer money back, then do it quick!
I know I'm going to regret asking this then whats the bad points dont worry I've got all night and to make you all make me feel better i put my V plate BMW 318Ise in for it

Head gasket failure, Ird, vcu, prop shaft bearings, uneven rear tyre wear, electrics, cracked rear subframes, to name but a few..all have been covered several times on here..
Unfortunately the 1.8 has had a lot of problems...as for the clutch i think thats been covered before as well...it could be the master/slave cylinder assembly.
I got a Diesel and its been pretty good but every day you are waiting for something..especially after you have read these forums..bit like reading a medical book you think you got everything in there by the time you have finished....:D:D
Oh and Welcome from Spain..

got sick of putting money into bm and wife always liked them so done the deal yesterday

The bm will seem like a frugal miser who doesn't like spending compared to the gaylander which will spend like a teenage duaghter let loose with your credit cards.

You need a big wallet with a freelander mate...never spent hardly anything when i used to have BMWs apart from servicing etc...always seem to spend something on the Freebie...Wrong nick name for them really ..more of a thievy...
