i said i prefer manual, you said you prefer manual but auto for towing, thus me saying yes i can see why an auto would be better for regualr towing !

Not being funny your paragraph say I like the manual it's nimble I like the manuel it's cumbersome whitch is it ?

Not surprised there slow really
How many horses is the 2.5dse ? As im sure thats well underpowered for the weight of the car ??

Even the 3.0 td6 engine is slightly underpowered for the L322 !

The engine was not the right fitment for the weight , but come its a luxury car not a sports car for gods sake!

pretty obvious that i made the mistake and what it ment- manual nimble, auto cumbersome ! but thats just from the ones i drove and what i felt, and when drove the auto it was the 1st time id drove an auto for a while after selling my disco and was driving round a bmw 325i !

Lol I new what you ment just pulling your leg datatek right tho early gears are crap manuals are more nimble,I always feel like I'm coasting around bends and most of the time hitting brakes but that's an auto for you.

To the buyer of this thread you know we love em if he babbles on showing you countless history mots bills and alike your half way to a winner use your head not your heart!

definatly a use your head not heart- as when your there in one thats "ok" and thinking you can drive it home...its easy too overlook faults , very !! WALK AWAY if its not perfect for you,. the one will come

I'm not complaining in the slightest !

I think mine is quite nimble especially once the tuning module is turned on !

Gives most other cars a good run for there money :p

Mike.

PS I would like a darker colour and leather, ideal example, dark green and cream interior! I'm in Tickenham, North Somerset.

Best stay away from my profile page then... she's not for sale...

Thanks for all the replies folks, love the banter, and we're off on Sunday to have a poke around some 'local' ones......

I'm used to getting my hands dirty, I've owned a few TVR's in the past so 'tinkering' is second nature to me. In fact I've become lazy of late owning teutonic yawn vehicles out of necessity rather than pleasure.

Aero - lovely example!

If you think the P38 is slow, try a Daihatsu Fourtrack, a Pajero 2.8 auto 0 to 60 in a fourtnight, or a Hyundai Galloper. By comparison the P38 is positively racey.

My DSE was quite spritely...

As Datatek says - the go pedal travel is quite long and the response is a little odd to get used too, but they will take off like a spanked whippet quite readily.

Not as spritely as your new L322 ah ? Lol

Oh hell no....

136 Donkeys in the DSE compared to 286 Stallions with the hair on fire in the L322....

Put it in sports and yes it'll drink fuel quicker than George Best in a Whiskey House....but by feck that big-arsed girl will shift....
