Cheers. Are you a Freelander man/person by any chance? I've driven a couple when one of my Landies is being serviced and really enjoyed them.Welcome to the forum

Yeah I found myself wanting one after borrowing the garage's ****ty ones a few times. But I guess series 1s are getting pretty old and rough now?Yes. Been driving Freelander's for 18 years. Freelandering is the way forward.
FL1's are cheap to buy. Often needing usual repairs which are well documented on ere. Cheap motoring as older cars drop in value. You still see a lot of them about in the uk, compared to other cars of the same age. Some of that will be down to peeps wanting to own a LR badged vehicle. You can still get them in good condition but most will be showing their age unless looked after. Diesel more popular than petrol. If yer handy with tools its not a difficult vehicle to work on for most things. Get yer own diagnostics to help and away yer go. Its what i did to start learning many years ago. Fix stuff as it shows signs of failure rather than letting it get worse. Keep on top of servicing and they can be surprisingly reliable. Cheap motoring if all goes ok.Yeah I found myself wanting one after borrowing the garage's ****ty ones a few times. But I guess series 1s are getting pretty old and rough now?
