While the landie wont jerk and pull agrresivley (giggidy), on a dual carriageway, or A-road, it will on motorways, and only on certain stretches. Is this due to deep lorry ruts?

probably it's called tramlining. not to be confused with mainlining

you should be so lucky.
don't think my last diseasel 88 ever made it to 50 and definitely never went anywhere near a motorway. nearest motorway to here is about 40 miles and that was waaaaay too brave ... the breakdown policy for the Disco didn't cover the 88 ... would have been a long push home.

It's a bit like trying to drive along a cart track at 60! There used to be a really bad section of the A14 that had speed restrictions because of it. Seemed the planners didn't expect so many heavy vehicles on the road between the Midlands and the East Coast ports!

I drive my 88 diesel daily and everywhere. Hits 60 no fuss
