I'm about to re-assemble mine on a '87 110. Rammed full of silt and water in the fan housing stopping the fan from working.
It's pretty easy to unbolt. I just undid the hoses and poked them up against the bulkhead so the coolant didn't come out. Screenwash bottle had to come off and a little angle on the bulkhead just above the heater box, but i managed to wriggle it out without undoing the intake duct.
Mine had 6 screws where i think there was originally rivets so the military had been in there before. I can send you a few pics tonight but i undid these screws and just bent the metal flap open to reveal and remove the matrix.
I've given it a pressure wash, a flush with water and a fresh coat of paint before re-fitting. Prove to be a much easier job than I thought.
Also i noticed my drain hole in the intake duct was blocked, just inside the duct from the heater end, so it was letting the water floor into the fan.
