I've just bought some heated seats and the dashboard switches have been lost in transit. Can I either use other switches or if not, any ideas where I'll get replacement switches? The usually reliable fleabay has nothing

yes another switch will do but you need to check the amps that the old switch took and get one to suit
 
I didn't have the old switch, where does it go on the dash? Is it just behind the gearstick, down at the bottom? Please excuse my ignorance!!!
 
Well the ones on the face lift are at the bottom in front of gear stick and one either side as you sugest, I do not know where the earlier ones are though.
 
I was watching a pair on ebay last week - Item No. 280986379288
They didn't sell, but if you enter the number into the ebay search they still come up and show the sellers id.
May be worth contacting him - They were £25 pr.
 
Yeah I bought those two nights ago only to be told they'd already been sold and they refunded my money, thanks anyway!
 
Would it be possible to used heated seat switches from other land rover/rovers? Just a thought, I'm sure I read on here somewhere that the freelander clock is the same as the Honda civic clock? Don't quote me on that though!
 
other switshes from other cars will do as they should be same ampage ect: but if they are wider or longer you will have to butcher them a bit
 
I bought new switches from a Land Rover dealer when fitting heated seats to my facelift Freelander, about £16 each iirc
