Great idea to use nylocs, I was thinking of using some adhesive to lock a nut in place.I had the same issue when I replaced the headlamp bezels to stainless steel ones (the originals corroded). The adjusting screws did not want to work (can't remember why) so I replaced them with stainless screws - with a nyloc nut behind the head to replicate the lip behind the standard ones (as @miktdish sketch). Gave the screw threads a good dose of copper grease. They work great, no problems since fitting them many years ago.
They must be metric as I have a selection box full of metric nyloc nuts and will have used those. Probably 3mm or 4mm size. (would have to dismantle my headlamps to confirm this and that's not on the cards).Great idea to use nylocs, I was thinking of using some adhesive to lock a nut in place.
Do you know if stainless adjustment screws are available or what the thread size is?
Thanks
