Don't know how long, friend took it while I was at work, said it was pressured to 100 psi, and lots of ports to be blanked,

I've not had a head pressure tested but I would think there are at least two or three tests; One to check that the valves are sealing against their seats, another to check the oilways and a test to check that the cooling waterways are OK. If it's a diesel engine head such as the Td5 with a common fuel rail they might even check that bit too.
"Internal cracks" don't sound good, probably a replacement head required. :(

Yes, head required, hopefully I've sourced one

Well that's the Landy back on the road, took the good head off my other landy and built up my daily landy, never needed to remove injectors cam and such like, so head off one and on the other 5hrs, good going, helps to have a very competent friend :)
