gasket Seams to cover allImageUploadedByTapatalk1372277851.154652.jpg
double checking
has I think it's going to need
a recon head
I still think his head is cracked
company only pressure tested
and not hot test

Yes but that's the head gasket not the timing cover gasket it covers part of the top of the chain cover what you said is for timing cover not head gasket

so gasket is ok
and I can run some sealant
round by timing chain
that's what I did last time
just double checking
ready for new recon head

There should be no need to for any sealant timing cover to block providing new gaskets are used. However a smear of Hylomar will do no harm. Sealant is used on both sides of sump where timing cover meets block and where rear crank oil seal housing meets block if you have removed sump. Hylomar is the best sealant on the planet. Get some.

Blue Hylomar is best. It is used to seal metal to metal joins on RR jet engines. No gaskets. Ceramic sealing fluid would be K seal, not a lot of good for gaskets i am afraid.
