I want to stiffen up the back end of my 90, as I'm now carrying approx 500 kilos of stuff around for work.

I would like to pop on some heavy duty springs on the back.

But, do HD springs mean lift?

If not, why would i want lift?

There's quite a price difference between company's... whose springs are the ones to have?

Yeh Ive Got A Piar Of Brand New Britpart Ones Thatl Fit Ur 90 They Got Muddled Up And Came For Our 110 And Also Used Britpart Shock That You Can Buy If You Arrange Courier From Portsmouth Where My Dad Works £40 The Lot
 
HD are same height at regular - just stiffer, although you can also get longer HD if you want.

Saying that becasue they ARE stiffer, they compress slightly less for given load and give the impression of a slight lift.
 
I did the same thing. Replaced the rear springs on my 90 for some HD ones. I used genuine parts ones. About £50 plus fitting from a local garage. Not much in terms of lift, but certainly that bit stiffer. Should be much better for carrying loads.

What difference doe's adding 50mm of lift do?
 
Makes it 50mm higher?

+ 40mm is generally regarded as the heighest you can go without having to do serious modifications...brake lines, props, castor correction arms...etc. With a 40mm lift (2") you can leave these bits as standard, although some people do get extended brake hoses anyway.
 
but thats just bad math, its like me saying i will sell you my landy for a grand than expecting you to pay £1300 for it
 
The ting is, do I need lift or not?

And can you just lift the back end?


Sorry for the dumbass questions - but I honestly know jack poo poo when it comes to the bouncy bits ;)
 
yo could do jus tha back, but yer landy will look like its got a boil unner its arse. go 4 new coils/shocks all round otherwise yer gonna have an un-balanced landy, hard rear, soft front. my choice would be OME
