hi guys i just brought a 200tdi disco (first landy)ive stuck my head under yesturday to find a bolt hole by the sump area see image does anyone have anyideas and do i need to block it up for off roading

yep, wading plug..

do a search on "wading kit" and you'll find loads of info about why its there and when/where/why you use a wading plug
 
Thats where the flux capacitor goes if dont have it it will drive really slow leak out all its oil and rust away not to mention the electrical faults it will cause:blabla:

yes to both!

someone said google it, seems you havent!
screw a 1/4 bsp plug into it when you go thru water thats likely to get in it.
same with the clutch wading plug at the other end of engine.

remove both when out of water to let any oil drain out.

google the consequences now.

not google though, i mention search, but use the search function here on the forum, there's **** loads of info about it

lol, i use the term google as "you need to look"
search facility on ere would be a start as you say.

anyway, you knew what i meant!
