i drilled the plastic hinge pins out and fitted a kitchen worktop bolt through,

my case is secured with a couple of self tapping wood screws ! lol
does a better job then the crappy clips did..... go to lift the case and... smash.... 150 bits on the floor !!! :doh:

No you are driving around with your tool chest in case you breakdown,
When you could of just took the plastic box
By the way I had the early box with come with moulded plastic hinges :eek
And only the later ones have proper pinned hinges .
Yes I have dropped all those friggin sockets on the floor near a drain as said hinge gave way ! :mad .
And now it strapped with a pull strap and half of its mini sockets missing . It's now the ABUSE the socket set box .
New pro set is the abused sets replacment !!!

Nah, I have two chests, a full size roller cab that lives in the garage and a small chest that lives in the car. I did have to double up on a fair few tools for this arrangement, but it is useful when away from home. Normally fixing my brother in-laws PoS car collection when I visit. :doh:
