I don't know how true it is but I was told Halfords tool are made by Sykes Pickavant.

Halfords sell the black limited edition 200pc set for much less than the chrome plated version. I prefer the black stuff myself. So I know what I'd buy.

Actually, when their normal "sale " prices are on, the 200pc black is more expensive. In the last few weeks it has changed from £280 to £200, the Std 200 pcs set has changed from 150 to 135 to 250. Today their prices are all fubarred, I suspect they are going to be offering some NY sales deals shortly.

Looks like the Easter sales are here.

In case anyone is looking.
The 170 pc socket set is currently only £110.50 with the discounts they have , not sure how long it will last.

Halfords is a bit like DFS - you would be hard pressed to find a time when there wasn't a sale on.
