I bought their 8 piece screwdriver set today for £7 reduced from £15 not a bad deal, less than a pound per screwdriver with a lifetime g'tee to boot.

Just went and got the 200 piece set :D at 135 quid, needed a better set that i could leave in the truck, the gits wanted 150 quid when i registered my trade card though! I'll still use my Bahco 3/8" drive ratchet as thats unbeatably nice to use but its great to have all sockets ye'll ever need in the same place!

Used mine just yesterday, much simpler having everything in one handy kit.

yeah thats the idea, I've already got all the tools but you can't beat a go to set where all the basics are organised together, especially when you're away from the workshop!

I brought for my self 3 middle sections of tool boxes as I have three of the tops sections but need more draws to put tools in 2 sets of the 8 screw driver sets with 1 being for the son in law and 1 screw driver set that contained the bigger screw drivers but they only had 1 of those I would have brought 2 sets of them again 1 for the son in law. and I was very pleased in what I got

I went and had a look, but they only had the same as the online deals. As much as I like the 200pc socket set , I could not justify it, as I already have the 170pc.

But I also got myself a trade card for the future.......:D

It is good stuff I used to have mostly nothing but snap on and then I had my garage broken into , they stole almost every thing the only pieces they did not take was a couple of ratchet spanners they had dropped and must not have noticed and a screw driver with multi heads I had in the house and I not sure what it was all worth but it gutted me ,but now I have the garage alarmed and there are cameras covering the house and garage.

Here in Canada we have a Halford's-like retailer called Canadian Tire.
They seem to have the same sort of deals as Halford's, and have the same "You are crazy NOT to buy" tool sales.
They have a tool line called Mastercraft. Decent tools, not Snap-off quality, but they are a fraction of the price.
I lost a 1/4" drive 8mm socket and extension behind the bumper of my Hippo last week (It rolled off the splash
panel into the space between the rad and the bumper) If it was Snap-on I would have been removing the bumper,
but as it was from Crappy Tire I went down and spent 10 bucks on replacements. :)
Can't beat em.

Halfords is like dfs when it comes to sales - i guess there must be some time when they don't have some sort of sale on, but I'm not sure as I've ever seen that moment.

I have their screwdrivers. Nice screwdrivers, and, when they break, I'll use the lifetime warrenty.

I also have their Allen and torx key sets. They have not lasted as well at all. I'll claim on the warranty when I remember to take them in.

Sockets - I have snap on. I worked out that I could get a used set of snapon for the same price as a new set of halfords.
