I go with injectors and the washers, mine did this, no power loads of smoke. After H/gask change mine was just so underpowered I could of cried. Found out that the end of the injectors were knackered, have been told that they are 'rifled' inside and that if they over heat (like mine did) or if there is water in the diesel (or silicon as per supermarket cock up some yrs back) it kinda shot blasts the ' rifled' bit away, once this is gone the diesel isnt injected in a spiral fashion and so dosnt burn properly.
