D44 make the best ground anchors

I think you're confusing expensive with quality.. General concensus seems to be D4x4 Copy every fooker else and make poor copies and charge high to cover the truth up..

Like claiming that their Waffle Boards are made to their own specs, when every fooker knows that they're just flooring grids cut to size like every other fookers. Mind you they threaten yu and the forum ya post on, with legal action if you dare challenge em. :D

25mm rebar and a length of chain is the best and most versatile.

Also "Best" and "D4X4" is an oxymoron. which seems right given the peeps who run D4x4 are Morons anyway :D

driving around with that on front is likely to get you a "dangerous condition "

It's my old 90 an if you noticed the tools on the bonnet it had just been fitted. It also blocked the headlight so not legal an the anchor was only mounted on front for off road use it had a second mound inside for when on the road :D

Not exactly the ideal solution then

Driving on the road.....stopping....pulling anchor out the back and fitting to the front......driving off road (obviously not a lane cause it would still be illegal)....stopping......pulling anchor off the front and sticking back into the back.......

The trouble with most anchors is you have to dedicate too much space for a bit of kit thats rarely used....though they're brilliant when you do need one.

I've carried 4' of chain and stakes to pin into a V shape before when venturing into dodgy situations but the only time I've actually needed one I didn't have it and used a fallen branch fork.

I always, always carry a bowsaw :D

Fair enough but I still don't really see an advantage of having fitted up front....other than everyone can see it :p
