Its time I introduced myself (so Ive been told!). Im from Fishguard in sunny West Wales, and Im on my second landy. She a 1972 diesel truck cab in need of some tlc, more of a rolling tidy up really so will need some advice along the way. I also have a 1973 (doh!) rover p6 v8 which I put a disco 3.9 with holley 600 carb into. Sounds awsome really must get onto road this year lol. I doubt if you really want to know anything else about me so Im going out into garage to bleed my brakes!:crazy_driver:

It's a fair old trek. But i got family down in Narberth and we pop down now an again.
Always handy for picking up expensive to post stuff.

Thats good to know, thankyou, I'll bear that in mind. I know Narberth pretty well, I know where the public houses are and the cremetorium!! ha ha
My sister lives in Penarth but I wouldnt fancy doing that trek in my landy!

Last time I was in Narbeth was for a Lindisfarne concert in one of the pubs.
Pretty good night it was too.

'Bout 10 or 12 years ago. Can't remember where though, I wasn't driving that night.
Lindisfarne were on the way back down by then hence the gig in Narbeth

I see, I was thrown by the orange paintwork! I know Dinas well, I have a storage facility/workshop there. Well its good to know theres a few of you nearby. Do you use your landy on road? I cant say ive seen it about

The orange one in my Avatar is a friends trialer that I get the pleasure to drive now and then. My landy is a pretty standard 200tdi defender. Some pics in my gallery.

I see. Took a look at your defender and I seen it about, recognise the Cardigan reg. She looks like a handy bit of kit....and for 20 year old pretty sound. Hopefully you will see mine around the lanes soon. Cant miss her, K plate bronze green truck cab diesel. Erm, with some age related marks ha ha.:D

Look forward to seeing yours out and about. I'm entering a RTV trial on Sunday in my fender. Google West Wales 4x4 group for more info.
The following weekend I'm doing a CCV in the orange one.

Good luck tomorrow, had a look at West wales 4x4 site, looks a lot of fun. Wouldnt mind going off road myself but no experience doing stuff like that - looks pretty chalenging for driver and vehicle!

How did you get on? Gotta say it looks like fun. I done a lot of rallying etc as navigator so I took a look at the regs out of interest. It mentions shunting... what does this mean? (I may sound thick..lol) and as its done to msa rules does this mean that msa license is required?
